See How We Go
Travels: Mamiya 55 See How We Go. Mamiya M645 1000S, Mamiya-Sekor 55mm f/2.8, #8 (K2) yellow filter. Fomapan 400 developed in Diafine.
Finding the right camera and lenses for black and white film-based travel photography has been an ongoing pursuit. A Mamiya M645 with Mamiya-Sekor 55mm lens is an excellent travel combo. The camera’s blocky shape is easy to pack and carry, the 55mm lens is small and light and the image quality is first rate. I run into size and weight trouble with the M645 cameras only when I decide to bring a second lens, decide I do not want to spend time swapping lenses and mount the second lens on a second body.
